I get them a lot from students in other parts of the world who want a particular reprint of mine. When I'm feeling generous, I put this down to the fact that my first two initials are "M.R." However, I'm sure a lot of it is that it doesn't occur to them that a woman might actually have written a paper in my field. We're outnumbered, but not non-existent!
