A little bit sick
Just back from a trip, and I am a little bit sick. Most inconvenient, as I have all sorts of deadlines and would love to have a well-functioning mind and body. But I tend to pick up a cold or sore throat on airplanes. I have heard that McKinsey consultants and similar types fly once a week or more… how do they do this? Are some people much more robust than I, and do they never get sick after plane trips?

You may need to take a lot of vitamins to starve off common colds. People who travel a lot DO get sick a lot, at least from purely anecdotal experience of people I know. Flu shot is not a bad idea for people who travel a lot.
By the way, I really enjoy your blog, congrats on the job offers and good luck!

I used to get sick a lot when I flew. My conclusion is that it is because I only flew occasionally. Now my immunity is made because I have to fly every two bloody weeks, and I never get sick anymore. I can’t figure it, except I do take good care to wash my hands at a reasonable frequency as in any public confined space, and I do drink a lot of water. The other option is because my once-small children have handed me every cold on earth already, and there are many fewer variants for me to catch now.
